Thank you for listening, and for deciding not to proceed with siting a new municipal landfill above Ellenville's drinking-water streams. It was the right call for the watershed, for public health, and for the families who live alongside it.

To everyone who spoke up

Neighbors, scientists, small-business owners and volunteers showed up to hearings, signed petitions, wrote to legislators and did the unglamorous work of reading the technical record. That is what changed the outcome.

Dump-the-Dump is being kept online as an archive. If a landfill is ever proposed near the Shawangunk Ridge again, the research, the impact analysis and the organising material are all still here and ready to use.
